Ajibade Ariyo Adekunle, Trace Area Commander, Ogun West, Ota.
Born on 10th December, 1973 into the family of Prince Ajibade in Ibiade compound, from Ogun Waterside, Commander Ajibade Ariyo Adekunle enlisted in the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) in 2005 having been transferred from Bureau of Transport, Ogun State.
He rose to the office of the TRACE Area Commander 4, Ogun West by dint of hard work and determination to succeed as a traffic officer and penchant for safety of human life, in most cases at the risk of his life.
Having gone through lower ranks such as Head of Operations, and Divisional Commander in TRACE divisions such as Zone One Abeokuta, Ijebu-Ode and presently Ota, Ajibade rose to the rank of the Area Commander 4, Ogun West in 2018. In recognition of the new position, a business tycoon and worldly acclaimed entrepreneur, Alhaji Aliko Dangote who is also the President, Dangote Group, in a letter, described Commander Ajibade’s conduct as an “enigma, whose dexterity at solving traffic bottlenecks is unrivaled. The new post is well deserving and merited; congratulations.”
Commander Ajibade Adekunle’s educational journey began from Emmanuel Primary school, Ita-lupe, in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. This was where Nature started having a way of preparing him for the career of his life, the job of traffic control in the 70s. He was given the task of arranging his teachers’ and headmaster’s vehicles, as well as bicycles in a very little space, conveniently.
Leaving primary school with distinction, Commander Ajibade went to Anglican Comprehensive High School, Ipoto in Ijebu-Ode and became a member of the 1990 set after which he advanced to Ogun State Polytechnic, now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic between 1990-92. From there, he did his Industrial Attachment (I.T.) at Gateway Transport. After completion of his Ordinary National Diploma, OND, he proceeded to Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, where he obtained his HND in Town and Regional Planning (TRP) in 1995/96.
Commander Adekunle Ajibade did his National Youth Service in Government House Umuahia in Abia State after which he proceeded to the Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye for his post graduate studies, obtaining Post Graduate Diploma in Transport Studies, Masters in Transport Management and Masters in Business Administration. He later joined Tansian University located in Umunya, Oyi Local Government of Anambra State where bagged Bachelor of Science (Bsc) in Business Administration.
He has since attended local and international courses in traffic and other related disciplines since assuming the position of Area Commander 4, Ogun West of Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corp, TRACE, Ogun State.
