The Management of Lagos State University has approved a one-week End-of-Year Break for members of staff to enable them fully enjoy the festive period with their families and loved ones. 

The break will be observed beginning from Monday, 29th December 2025 till  Friday, 2nd January 2026

Similarly, all full-time students are to proceed on a two-week End-of-Year Break from *Friday, 19th December 2025 to Friday, 2nd January 2026*, in line with the University Senate-approved academic calendar.

Deputy Registrar/Coordinator, Centre for Information and Public Relations of the university, Oluwayemisi Thomas-Onashile announced this in a statement obtained by Edu-biznews on Thursday 

According to the statement, all members of staff and students are expected to resume on Monday, 5th January 2026

Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, on behalf of Senate and Management, felicitated all staff and students, wishing them,  a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2026 in advance.
