Alhaji Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA, the Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, is dedicated to achieving his set goals and delivering the dividends of democracy to the people. With a proven track record of overseeing significant infrastructural development, Alhaji Wasiu has consistently demonstrated his commitment to improving the lives of citizens.

During his first three quarters in office as the Executive Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu has successfully implemented various projects, including grading selected roads in all 16 wards, renovating health centers and school buildings , road network with quality drainage at OTA Primary Health center, and providing portable drinking water to some wards. He has prioritized environmental sanitation, initiating clean-up efforts and improving waste management. Additionally, he has set the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) right and initiated a facelift of the local government premises.

Alhaji Wasiu’s master plan includes rebranding Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government , empowering government workers, and fostering collaborative partnerships between stakeholders and government entities to further boost the local government’s development. His leadership philosophy is centered around direct communication with citizens, transparency, and collaboration, ensuring that the local government is run efficiently.

His commitment to transparency and accountability has earned him recognition from various groups, including the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI), NSE, Deputy Governor, Party leaders, and Governor Dapo Abiodun. Recently, the Citizens Engagement Platform presented a charter of demands to him, encompassing critical areas such as education, disability issues, health, road infrastructure, youth empowerment, agriculture, women empowerment, accountability, and governance. Alhaji Wasiu has promised to address these demands, further demonstrating his dedication to delivering exceptional democratic dividends to the people.
