NPC PREPARES FOR FORTHCOMING CENSUS: ADO-ODO/OTA LG HOSTS KEY MEETING

The Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC), Dr. Otunba Fasua Abayomi Johnson, paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA, as part of preparations for the upcoming National Population Census.

During the visit, Dr. Otunba Fasua emphasized the importance of prioritizing population growth issues and sensitizing stakeholders across communities. He also warned against fraudulent registration practices that could undermine the integrity of national data.

The State Director of NPC, Dr. Adenuga Olayinka, highlighted the commission's critical role in civil registration and the need for accurate population data. He advised the chairman to establish a mini-committee that will be headed by the comptroller NPC Ado-Odo /Ota Local Government to aid the success of the forthcoming census exercise at the local level.

The Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu FCA, appreciated the Hon Federal Commissioner Dr Otunba Fasua and his team for the meeting  and assured them of his administration's full cooperation in ensuring a smooth census exercise.

This meeting marks a significant step towards a successful census in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, and the NPC's efforts to ensure accurate population data for national development.
