Hon. Kayode Taiwo Installed as Patron of Great Dependable Forum (GDF) Ogun State

The Great Dependable Forum (GDF), a prominent non-governmental organization with a presence across the 20 local government areas of Ogun State, has officially installed Hon. Kayode Taiwo as its Grand Patron during a well-attended ceremony in Ota.

The event, which brought together over one hundred representatives from 14 local governments across the three senatorial districts, marked a significant moment in the group’s continued effort to strengthen grassroots leadership and community advocacy.

In her address, GDF State Chairperson, Olori Temitope Esther Solomon, and the State Secretary, Pastor Ajiboye Peter, described the investiture as a recognition of Hon. Taiwo’s longstanding commitment to community development and youth engagement. They stated that his selection followed careful deliberation among the group’s more than 2,000 members, comprising farmers, artisans, small business owners, and community leaders.

 “We believe Hon. Kayode Taiwo embodies the values and vision of GDF, especially in areas of inclusive leadership and responsible civic engagement,” said Olori Solomon.

Responding to the honor, Hon. Kayode Taiwo expressed deep gratitude, stating that he was moved not just by the title, but by the sincerity and unity of purpose shown by the GDF. He commended the group for its structure and consistency in promoting development-focused causes across Ogun State.

He pledged to uphold the responsibilities of his new role and assured members of his willingness to engage with stakeholders and leaders on issues affecting the forum and the communities it represents. He also encouraged members to remain firm in their civic decisions and praised their support for democratic participation at both local and state levels.

Hon. Taiwo also recognized the efforts of GDF members in Sagamu, Remo North, and Ikenne for their contributions to grassroots political mobilization, particularly in support ofSagamu, Remo North and Ikenne Federal Constituency candidate, Hon. Elegbeji.


The ceremony reaffirmed GDF’s mission to empower citizens through leadership, welfare programs, and advocacy. The forum emphasized that its goals including widows and aged support, youth empowerment, agricultural initiatives, and education funding remain central to its partnerships and endorsements.

 

Hon Kayode Taiwo promised to convey the message of the group to the Senator with a possibility of meeting with them, he pleaded with the Members to be steadfast in their decision given the fact that, they are responsible Men and Women who are not conventional Politicians.
