AOLG Boss Celebrates the Historic Appointment of Ota's First Son as Commissioner of Police

The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu, FCA, has extended a heartfelt congratulatory message to Commissioner of Police Abdul Lateef Ahmed, PhD, on his recent elevation within the Nigeria Police Force.

In an official statement issued from the Chairman’s office, Hon. Lawal described the appointment as a monumental achievement, not only for Commissioner Ahmed but also for the entire Ota Awori Kingdom, as he becomes the first son of the land to attain such a prestigious rank.

“This milestone is a testament to your unwavering dedication, professionalism, and service to the nation. Your achievement brings immense pride to Ota and stands as a beacon of inspiration to the youth,” the statement read.

The local government leadership also acknowledged the pivotal role of traditional rulers, particularly His Royal Majesty, Oba (Prof.) Abdul Kabir Obalanlege, the Olota of Ota, and other Awori Obas for their continuous support and leadership in guiding the community.

Hon. Lawal further praised Commissioner Ahmed’s contributions to the Nigeria Police Force, noting that his integrity and commitment have been exemplary and worthy of national recognition.
